As a certified Reiki Master, I am dedicated to helping you achieve balance and healing in your life. As a Registered Nurse for the last 30 years, I have extensive knowledge of the intricacies of the human body and psyche. All physical ailments have an energetic counterpart, and together we can work to find the best solution for you.
What is Reiki?
Reiki, (pronounced "ray" "key"), is a healing technique originating in Japan. Healing energy is transferred from the heavens (God, Universe, Source, Love) through the hands of a trained practitioner to the energy body of the recipient. Although reiki can do no harm, it is only given with the direct permission of the recipient. While the practitioner can direct the energy anywhere in the body, reiki energy will also go wherever it is needed in the body the most.
The energetic layer of the body consists of 7 main energy centers, called the chakras. Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning "wheel" or "circle", referring to the spinning vortex of energy that governs that particular area of the body. A full reiki session consists of an assessment and balancing of these 7 main chakras. Any areas of imbalance, or "dis"ease, will be addressed during your session.
How does Reiki work from a distance?
The practitioner and the recipient do not need to be in the same physical space in order for reiki to work. It is very easy for the practitioner to enter your energetic field from a distance. In fact, it can be an even more relaxing and healing experience to be able to rest quietly in your own space while the reiki energy is being transferred to you from afar. When you register you will be asked to e-mail a photo of yourself, if possible, so the practitioner has a better visual of the participant. This aids in the perception and creates a lovely space for the energy to flow directly to you. During the session you will be asked to relax in a safe and calm environment, free from any responsibilities or distractions. Many people fall asleep during their session. This is perfectly normal. Please know that the reiki energy is reaching you even if you are asleep or otherwise do not notice.
What to expect
During booking you will be asked to describe any areas of concern or special requests for your reiki session. After your session is booked you will be contacted by email. Any further questions or concerns can be addressed at this time. You will then be asked to provide a recent picture of yourself if you choose to do so. You will then be contacted after the session is over with all findings and recommendations gathered during the reiki session.
